From the organiser of a recent fundraising event:
"Our Trivia Night was a huge success and we raised a total of $6,333.75."
"Chrissy exceeded all our expectations and truly did run a trivia night with a difference. Chrissy quick wit and charisma had the audience eating out of her had. She was a complete professional and she most definitely contributed to the success of our event. Chrissy also conducted a live auction to help us raise money for JDRF and I have to say she is a complete natural at it. I have had so much positive feedback from the event, and in particular everyone commented that Chrissy really made it an enjoyable night. I've never been to a trivia night where you find yourself making paper planes, dancing on chairs and singing to the top of your lungs....brilliant! "
From Christine:
Being a very important fundraiser for Juvenille Diabetes, I began the night gently, with a straight forward round of general trivia, which allowed everyone to relax into the evening. After the round I had everyone playing a games of true or false, which had everyone standing up and laughing at the unusual questions together. As usual, the winner was met with excited yelling and applause. From that point on, everyone really warms to the competition. The next round was entertainment, which everyone loves to play, especially when I ask questions that include The Simpsons, Grease, and Bold and the Beautiful. Once again in between rounds we played a game, this time paper areoplanes, and by the end of it, everyone was going crazy barracking for their team and willing their plane to fly the furthest. At the halfway mark, I held an auction, which had everyone laughing and bidding way beyond expectations, resulting in thousands of dollars being put towards juvenille diabetes.
I believe that getting everyone in high spirits during the trivia had made everyone so involved and committed to the event, that they were even more inspired to raise some big money for the cause. The final round was music, and as usual, the moment I played Bohemian Rhapsody, no one could help themselves and everyone began singing along. When I promised bonus points to the loudest singing team, that was carte blanche for everyone the stand up on their tables and sing as loud as posisible.
No matter what the event, from informal Christmas parties to serious fund raising nights, by the end of the music round, suit jackets are off, ties are loosened and everyone has joined the fun, dancing around the tables together, singing and laughing and letting their hair down. It is another night where everyone is excited, their expecations of the trivia event have been exceeded, and everyone goes home happy, feeling closely bonded to their work collegues, with lots of fun photos at the ready to circulate the next day.
